Responsibilities
• Coordinate and oversee the implementation of Wired, Wireless, and DAS networks in the BH Health Care Tower, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
• Manage risk, issue, and scope change processes related to project deliverables, proactively identifying and resolving challenges to mitigate potential disruptions.
• Report project status and progress to the IMIT Project Director and IT Delivery Manager at scheduled intervals, providing comprehensive updates on milestones, issues, and resolutions.
• Review design specifications and access point placements within floorplans, ensuring optimal deployment of Wireless Access Points (APs) and antennas.
• Facilitate the installation of DAS APs and antennas, serving as the primary onsite contact for DAS contractors and liaising with carriers and third-party communications providers to complete installations.
• Oversee the onsite installation and provisioning of wired networks, collaborating with stakeholders to configure switches, assign switch ports, and troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
• Provide ad-hoc subject matter expertise and support to related FHA capital initiatives as requested, contributing to process improvement, stakeholder engagement, compliance tasks, and budget monitoring.
Qualifications
Mandatory Qualifications:
• Minimum 4 years of experience working on large scale IT infrastructure projects in a lead or project management role.
• Basic Computer setup and networking knowledge.
• Demonstrated management experience in planning for, or implementing, IT Infrastructure solutions.
• Must be fluent in English both oral and written.
• This is a hands-on (roll up your sleeve) role that requires onsite presence in increasing frequency toward implementation time.
• Ability to take lead in an ambiguous, changing/reactionary priorities environment.
• Able to efficiently prioritize and structure clear and unclear workloads.
• Open to rolling up your sleeves, applying subject matter understanding and to dive into the details to uncover optimal solutions to application design, implementation and hand-over sustain problems.
• Effective communication skills, and ability to interact with internal and external partners.
• Experienced in end user interaction including requirement elicitation, analysis, and solution design.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience and working knowledge of Fraser Health processes
• Subject matter understanding in Division 27 systems.
• Formal project management training or certification.
• Experience working on Design-Build construction projects.
• Experience working on redevelopment projects in healthcare.
• Experience working with healthcare users.
