This is a unique opportunity to lead the internal accounting function for three distinct entities, including a high-impact Foundation dedicated to medical research. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in an innovative environment and is comfortable transitioning seamlessly between high-level strategic analysis and day-to-day bookkeeping.

Responsibilities
Execute all accounting and financial activities across three entities.
Complete month-end, quarterly, and year-end closing processes with precision.
Prepare and file tax returns and government remittances (GST/QST, tax installments) ensuring strict adherence to deadlines.
Manage payroll processing and lead the implementation and administration of the company’s new group insurance plan.
Perform bank reconciliations, monitor cash flow, and provide the executive team with insightful financial analysis and strategic recommendations.
Prepare documents and act as the primary point of contact for external auditors during year-end financial reviews.
Drive the continuous improvement of financial systems, leveraging AI and automation to optimize administrative workflows.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA designation is a strong asset).
10+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, including deep expertise in bookkeeping and financial statement preparation.
Strong Excel skills and proficiency with QuickBooks Online . An interest in AI and automation tools is highly valued.
Full professional bilinguism (English/French) as the Controller will be required to communicate with partners located outside of Quebec on a daily basis.
A trusted business partner who is proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a "standalone" accounting function.
The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of organizational detail.
