As the Warehouse Operations Lead, you will be the ultimate floor driver and technical champion for our client's logistics operations. You will manage incoming and outgoing freight across multiple Ontario 3PL fulfillment sites, act as the internal WMS super-user, optimize floor space, and dynamically step into daily floor functions. Combining strong inventory analytics with hands-on material handling, you will lead your team by example to maximize productivity and eliminate operational bottlenecks.

Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & 3PL Oversight
- Master the new Warehouse Management System (WMS) inside and out, acting as the internal super-user to train floor staff, build user confidence, and troubleshoot technical gaps.
- Oversee the daily processing, tracking, and seamless organization of incoming and outgoing freight across multiple 3PL fulfillment locations in Ontario.
Workflow Optimization & Inventory Control
- Analyze daily floor workflows to identify operational bottlenecks; actively restructure processes to maximize internal productivity and reduce reliance on temporary general labor.
- Maintain tight inventory control and maximize warehouse layout efficiency across active distribution sites and static stock storage locations.
Hands-On Operations & Team Culture
- Safely and efficiently operate counter-balance forklifts (both propane and electric units) and electric reach trucks to load, unload, and stage cargo as needed.
- Step into various floor functions flexibly based on shifting daily demands—from processing high-volume container shipments to auditing order fulfillment stations.
- Provide clear, constructive, and respectful direction to warehouse personnel. Actively foster a collaborative, non-aggressive team culture focused on shared accountability and safety.
Qualifications
- Strong experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); prior experience acting as a system trainer, implementation lead, or super-user is highly preferred.
- Proven track record of tracking and organizing freight movements across a distributed, multi-site network.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate floor workflows, implement lean processes, and drive labor efficiency.
Certifications & Physical Demands
- Valid, current certifications to operate Counter-balance forklifts (Propane & Electric) and Electric Reach Trucks are required.
- Ability to lift heavy cargo safely and adapt to a high-volume, dynamic floor environment.
Leadership & Culture Fit
