Responsibilities
- Operate a Walkie Pallet Truck / Forklift safely and efficiently to pick customer orders.
- Utilize RF scanners to pick food and consumer products accurately according to pick sheets/orders.
- Perform general labor duties, including case picking, sorting, labeling boxes, making skids, and manual/machine skid wrapping.
- Maintain high accuracy standards to minimize picking errors and ensure inventory integrity.
- Perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, and stacking materials (up to 30–50 lbs on a non-consistent basis, utilizing team lifts or lifting aids when appropriate).
- Follow all workplace safety guidelines, Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) protocols, and supervisor directions.
- Complete additional warehouse or general labor tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of order picking experience in a warehouse/distribution environment.
Equipment Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience operating an electric walkie pallet truck/forklift.
Physical Capability: Ability to comfortably lift up to 50 lbs as required by operational tasks.
Skills: Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to order accuracy.
Teamwork: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Screening Requirements:
Must complete a practical on-site forklift assessment prior to start.
Must successfully pass a standard criminal background check prior to placement.
