- Lead Complex Engagements: Manage sophisticated tax engagements across a diverse portfolio, establishing a benchmark for high-quality delivery.
- Strategic Advisory: Serve as a core consultant within the specialist tax team, providing timely, high-value strategic planning and compliance frameworks.
- Engagement Oversight: Supervise the planning, execution, and final review of complex tax returns and files, ensuring strict adherence to industry standards.
- Technical Excellence: Conduct deep-dive tax research and present sophisticated findings with clarity and confidence.
- Partner Collaboration: Work side-by-side with firm leadership on advanced planning initiatives and macroscopic client strategies.
- Team Mentorship: Provide dedicated coaching and performance guidance to junior tax professionals to foster long-term career growth.
- Business Development: Support firm growth by nurturing client relationships and participating in strategic market initiatives.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement operational efficiencies to elevate team performance and the overall client experience.
Qualifications
- Experience: 4+ years of progressive, hands-on public accounting experience, with a strong background in complex tax files and technical memorandum writing.
- Credentials: CPA designation, along with the completion (or near completion) of an advanced specialized tax program or Master’s in Taxation.
- Client Acumen: A trusted-advisor mindset with a proven ability to grasp complex business structures and deliver tailored tax guidance.
- Project Management: Strong organizational skills to confidently balance competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Professional Drive: A growth-oriented mindset focused on continuous learning and making a measurable impact.
- Communication Skills: An analytical thinker who can seamlessly translate intricate tax legislation into practical, actionable insights for clients and peers.
