As a claims technician, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring business continuity by managing claims files rigorously and proactively. Working directly at the heart of the dynamic environment, you will act as a true strategic partner, ensuring that each file is handled with the efficiency and accuracy necessary to minimize financial and operational impacts. Your technical expertise will be key to transforming complex situations into fair settlements.

Responsibilities
Your role at a glance:
As the right-hand person for the OHS team, you will ensure the smooth running of the department's administrative tasks. Your main mission will be to digitize processes and maintain constant contact with employees on sick leave in order to foster trust and ensure effective management.
Your responsibilities:
- Open compensation files;
- Schedule and convene employees for meetings and accident investigations;
- Prepare, draft, and format documents and forms;
- Process, scan, and file incoming mail and documents;
- Maintain file tracking tables;
- Contact and meet with employees following their medical examination;
- Draft medical assessment mandates and prepare files;
- Support the compensation advisor in their tasks;
- Produce requests for review and appeals;
- Give temporary assignment forms to employees before each medical examination.
Qualifications
- Technical Diploma or College diploma in office automation, Secretarial studies, or human resources ( an asset)
- Excellent oral and written French
- Bilingualism (English and Spanish are assets)
- Must be independent and have a sense of initiative;
- Must be highly adaptable;
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Must have excellent priority management skills;
- Must be proficient in MS Office, Outlook, Teams, Excel, etc.
