Responsibilities
Financial Governance: Manage end-to-end program financials, including monthly accruals, financial forecasting, processing of invoices, and chargebacks.
Reporting & Analytics: Develop and maintain high-quality executive summaries, dashboards (Power BI), and status reports for Senior Leadership and Steering Committees.
Integrated Planning: Own and update the Integrated Project Plan (IPP) in MS Project, identifying cross-workstream dependencies and critical path risks.
Blocker Management: Oversee the "Five Blockers" (Risks, Issues, Assumptions, Dependencies, and Decisions), working closely with PMs to ensure mitigation strategies are active and effective.
Administrative Coordination: Facilitate program governance meetings, document key decisions, and ensure consistent reporting standards are met across all workstreams.
Qualifications
Financial Expertise (Must-Have): Demonstrated mastery of program financials, including accruals, forecasting, and presenting financial health to executive committees.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in MS Project, Excel (macros/pivots), and PowerPoint.
Tools: Hands-on experience with Jira for task tracking and Power BI for automated reporting.
Industry Experience: Previous experience within a large financial institution (CIBC experience is considered a significant asset).
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to "tell the story" behind the data to senior stakeholders.
Soft Skills: A proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a rigorous attention to detail.
