Responsibilities
Daily Product Analysis: Perform day-to-day processing and analysis of Alternative products, specifically various Derivatives instruments.
Reporting & Performance: Ensure the timely delivery of reporting and verify the accuracy of accounting for performance and exposure analysis.
Accounting Functions: Manage general ledger updates, perform P&L analysis, and execute reconciliation break clearances.
Valuation: Calculate Mark-to-Market (MTM) for all open positions and post results to the respective reporting platforms.
Cash Flow Management: Monitor net cash flows across various products to ensure liquidity and settlement accuracy.
Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to Client Trust Agreements, disclosure documents, and industry regulations.
Team Support: Provide guidance and assistance to junior staff and assist management with ad hoc projects as required.
Qualifications
Required Must Haves:
Experience: Proven background in Fund Accounting, Derivatives Administration, Fund of Funds, Hedge Funds, Pension Reporting, or Equity Funds.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel (VBA/Macros).
Systems: Experience with Derivatives systems and integration workflows.
Communication: Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Flexibility: Ability to meet scheduled shift work requirements.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have):
Education: Enrolment in or completion of CFA, CAIA, CGA, CMA, or a similar accredited program.
Industry Knowledge: Working knowledge of GAAP and general securities experience.
Technical Bonus: Prior experience with W360 or Bloomberg Terminal.
Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills or experience mentoring others.
