Randstad is seeking a dependable Forklift & Order Picker Operator to join a premier manufacturing and distribution facility in Oshawa. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, moving, and staging inventory safely and efficiently within a high-volume night-shift operations setting.
Key Responsibilities
Operate reach trucks, order pickers, and counterbalance forklifts in compliance with strict safety standards, including working at elevated heights.
Accurately pick, stage, and inspect high-volume orders following system directives.
Maintain an organized, clean, and safety-compliant warehouse environment.
Qualifications
Proven experience operating material handling equipment (reach truck or order picker experience strongly preferred).
Comfort working at elevated rack heights.
Strong attention to detail, exceptional reliability, and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
Active forklift certification is preferred (paid on-site certification is available).

Responsibilities
Order Fulfillment & Staging: Process production schedules, work orders, and shipping manifests to accurately retrieve and stage required materials.
Equipment Operation: Safely load, unload, and stack inventory using forklifts, clamp trucks, reach trucks, and order pickers.
Inventory Control: Organize and store stock in assigned locations based on product type, size, or SKU sequencing.
Material Handling: Execute picking, packing, and kitting tasks to prepare outbound shipments efficiently from warehouse inventory.
Quality Assurance: Inspect orders for accuracy and packaging integrity to ensure full compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
Safety & Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections, maintain operational safety, and report defects immediately.
Facility Support: Support cycle counts, physical inventory audits, stock rotation, and routine facility upkeep.
Qualifications
Warehouse Experience: Minimum of 3 months of relevant warehouse experience or formal vocational training.
Working at Heights: Comfortable and qualified to operate order picking equipment at elevated rack heights.
Physical Capability: Ability to consistently lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks, including prolonged standing, bending, and reaching.
Shift Availability: Full commitment to the required night schedule (Week 1: Sun–Wed Week 2: Sun–Tue, 5:00 PM–3:30 AM).
Safety Commitment: Proven dedication to workplace safety protocols, occupational health standards, and safe equipment operation.
