Responsibilities
- Lead a shift crew of 3 to 4 technical personnel to guarantee continuous, efficient, and smooth facility operations.
- Oversee the safe execution of daily routines while managing administrative duties including scheduling, coverage call-ins, and payroll administration.
- Monitor high-pressure utility equipment, boilers, and auxiliary systems while maintaining full adherence to regulatory protocols.
- Design, implement, and facilitate technical training programs to mentor junior personnel pursuing upgraded industry credentials.
- Maintain rigorous documentation, update standard operating procedures, and prepare the facility for external safety audits.
- Navigate a continuous Dupont shift schedule involving rotating 12-hour shifts, with overtime compensation applied after 44 hours weekly.
Qualifications
- You must possess a valid 2nd Class Operating Engineer Certificate issued by the TSSA.
- You bring a minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive operational experience within the heavy industrial manufacturing industry.
- You have proven professional experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity, managing team safety and workflow.
- You display strong capabilities in technical instruction, training development, and mentoring junior engineers.
- You hold a deep understanding of OHSA standards, TSSA regulations, and DCS control platforms.
- You must successfully pass a standard criminal background check as a condition of employment.
