Position Overview
- Pay Rate: $26.50 to $38.00 per hour (Compensation will be scaled based on your specific apprenticeship year and prior shop experience).
- Working Hours: Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM until 3:30 PM.
- Job Location: Leduc, Alberta.
- Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Position.

Responsibilities
Primary duty involves the structural repair, rebuilding, and hard-facing of industrial augers and related drilling equipment.
Configure and safely operate welding machinery, strictly adhering to SMAW (Stick welding) techniques and precise engineering specifications.
Analyze and accurately interpret blueprints, complex structural schematics, and standard welding symbols.
Execute critical material preparation, which includes grinding, using plasma torches for cutting components, and precisely fitting parts together before welding.
Guarantee that every finished project strictly complies with both CWB regulations and the company's rigorous internal quality control measures.
Maintain a clean and organized shop environment while taking an active, engaged role in all scheduled safety briefings and hazard assessments.
Qualifications
Required Credentials: You must possess valid, active CWB tickets specifically in the SMAW process.
Background: Previous practical experience working within a busy manufacturing, heavy industrial, or oil and gas service facility is strictly required. Candidates with a proven track record of auger repair will be given top priority.
Trade Status: You need to be officially registered as either a 2nd-Year or 3rd-Year Welder Apprentice.
Safety Requirements: All successful candidates must clear a standard, comprehensive pre-employment screening for drugs and alcohol.
- Availability: Must be locally based or willing to commute to Leduc daily, and ready to start within the next 2 weeks.
