We're looking for a skilled apprentice to join our Nisku team, focusing on highly specialized custom jacketed piping systems and unique industrial fabrication builds.
You won't just be fitting pipe; you'll be the expert ensuring leak-free, high-pressure assemblies on custom equipment.
Advantages
$26 – $28/hour straight time (Based on your proven, non-negotiable experience)
4 x 10-hour shifts = Long weekends every week! (Monday to Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM)

Responsibilities
Assembling and installing complex, custom jacketed pipe systems from P&ID and General Arrangement (GA) drawings.
Applying expert knowledge of bolt-up and testing procedures to ensure all assemblies meet strict pressure specifications.
Handling custom fabrication tasks, including threading, torquing, rework on warped pipe, and configuring custom jacketed sections.
Assisting in skid builds, installing valves, supports, and control components.
Working closely with the team, prioritizing safety, and ensuring high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
3rd Year Registered Apprentice Pipefitter ticket – REQUIRED.
This role requires a proven track record of precision in every assembly. You must possess the following, non-negotiable technical skills:
Expert Bolt-Up Procedures: Extensive, hands-on experience performing precise flange bolt-up and connection assembly on critical systems.
Hydrostatic and Pneumatic Testing: Strong background performing and documenting extensive pressure tests.
Gasket & Stud Mastery: You must be able to instantly identify and understand all aspects of the connection:
Victaulic Gaskets: Must understand what a Victaulic gasket is and how to properly seat it.
Sizing Knowledge: Must know stud sizes and gasket sizes for common flanges. If asked to get a specific gasket, you must know what the correct size is referring to (e.g., diameter, pressure class).
Torquing: Proven ability to accurately torque flange connections according to specification to ensure a perfect, leak-free seal.
The Non-Negotiable Skills listed above (bolt-up, hydro, stud/gasket/torque knowledge) – a demonstrable must-have.
Strong foundational background in custom industrial fabrication and installation.
Ability to interpret highly detailed technical drawings and specifications.
Dependable, safety-conscious, and a strong team player.
Own hand tools required.
Must be commutable to Nisku – reliable transportation needed.
