We are seeking a highly skilled apprentice to join our Nisku specialist team. In this role, you will be instrumental in fabricating custom jacketed piping and critical industrial assemblies. Responsibilities
System Assembly & Blueprint Expertise: Lead the accurate assembly of complex, multi-layered jacketed piping systems, interpreting technical requirements directly from P&ID and General Arrangement (GA) drawings.
Precision Fabrication: Perform critical fabrication tasks, including specialized cutting, exact threading, and custom component adjustments across various industrial materials.
Connection & Testing Specialist: Serve as the authority on final bolt-up procedures, high-pressure testing, and ensuring overall connection integrity.
Module Integration Support: Contribute expert skills to skid module construction, ensuring precise installation of high-value valves and structural components.
Qualifications
This position is intended for a 3rd Year Pipefitter Apprentice with proven mastery; it is not a training role for foundational skills. Please only apply if you can confidently demonstrate proficiency in every area listed below.
- A valid 3rd Year Registered Apprentice Pipefitter ticket is REQUIRED.
- Proven experience in high-pressure system assembly, including complex, high-precision flange connections.
- Extensive, documented experience performing both hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure tests.
- Instant, practical knowledge of critical components, including full understanding of Victaulic gaskets and their sealing functions.
- Ability to quickly identify and retrieve the correct stud and gasket sizes for common flanges without hesitation.
- Demonstrated skill in applying torque specifications accurately to achieve first-time, zero-leak assemblies on critical industrial systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality standards that prevent rework.
- Dependable, safety-focused, and able to collaborate effectively with a highly skilled fabrication team.
- Ownership of basic hand tools and reliable personal transportation for commuting to the Nisku facility.
