We’re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented apprentice to join our specialized fabrication team in Nisku. In this role, you’ll contribute to the construction of advanced jacketed piping systems and other complex industrial assemblies. Responsibilities
Jacketed Piping Assembly & Blueprint Accuracy:
Lead the precise construction of complex, multi-layer jacketed piping systems, ensuring every configuration aligns perfectly with specifications outlined in P&ID and General Arrangement (GA) drawings.
Precision Fabrication & Custom Work:
Perform detailed fabrication tasks such as cutting, threading, and component modification, maintaining exceptional workmanship and strict adherence to quality standards.
Connection Integrity & Pressure Validation:
Serve as the technical expert for final flange tightening, hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing, and confirming that all assembled connections meet demanding performance and safety criteria.
Module & Skid Integration:
Support the assembly of modular systems and skids, overseeing the accurate installation of valves, pipe supports, and structural hardware to guarantee complete alignment and mechanical reliability.
Qualifications
This position is intended for a 3rd-Year Pipefitter Apprentice with demonstrated technical mastery — it is not a training role for developing foundational skills. Please apply only if you can confidently meet the qualifications outlined below:
Certification Requirement: Must possess a valid 3rd-Year Registered Apprentice Pipefitter ticket.
High-Pressure System Expertise: Proven, practical experience assembling complex flange connections within high-pressure industrial systems.
Testing Proficiency: Verified ability to perform, document, and interpret both hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure tests in accordance with safety and quality standards.
Component Familiarity: Solid working knowledge of key system components, including the correct identification, placement, and sealing of Victaulic gaskets.
Dimensional Accuracy: Capable of selecting the proper stud and gasket sizes for a variety of flanges confidently and efficiently.
Torque Application: Demonstrated skill in applying precise torque values as per technical specifications to achieve first-pass, leak-free assemblies.
Commitment to Quality: Exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship, ensuring consistency and minimizing the need for rework.
Professional Standards: Dependable, safety-oriented, and highly collaborative individual who performs well in a fast-paced, team-driven fabrication setting.
Additional Notes: Candidates must supply their own basic hand tools and have reliable transportation to the Nisku facility.
