Working from our Nisku facility, you’ll play an essential role in the construction of advanced jacketed piping systems and large-scale industrial builds where mechanical precision and quality are critical.
As a valued team member, you’ll contribute to the production of leak-free, high-integrity mechanical assemblies and support specialized fabrication operations that uphold the highest performance standards.

Responsibilities
Jacketed Piping Fabrication & Installation:
Perform precise fabrication and field installation of complex, custom jacketed piping systems. Interpret and execute P&ID and General Arrangement (GA) drawings to ensure every layout and connection meets exact engineering requirements.
Pressure Verification & Mechanical Integrity:
Utilize advanced knowledge of bolt-up procedures and hydrostatic pressure testing to confirm systems meet all high-pressure performance and safety specifications, ensuring leak-free, reliable operation.
Detailed Fabrication & Alignment:
Handle specialized fabrication tasks including threading, torquing, and fine-tuning misaligned components. Assemble custom jacketed spool sections with expert accuracy and a commitment to superior workmanship.
Module Construction & Integration:
Assist in the assembly of skids and modular systems, installing valves, supports, and control instrumentation within complex industrial fabrication builds.
Commitment to Quality & Safety:
Maintain a focus on precision, efficiency, and safety at all times. Consistently produce high-quality results while supporting a performance-driven, safety-conscious work environment.
Qualifications
Required Certification:
Candidates must hold a valid registration as a 3rd-Year Apprentice Pipefitter to be considered for this position.
Core Technical Skills & Experience:
This role demands a solid foundation of hands-on expertise in precision fabrication and mechanical assembly. Successful applicants will demonstrate proficiency across the following key disciplines:
Flange Alignment & Bolt-Up:
Proven ability to perform exact flange fitting and bolt-up work on high-pressure systems while maintaining strict tolerance, integrity, and quality standards.
Pressure Testing Proficiency:
Experience setting up, executing, and assessing results from both hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure tests, including accurate documentation and verification of outcomes.
Victaulic System Application:
Knowledge of Victaulic components and gaskets, with the ability to properly identify, seat, and install them to ensure secure and dependable seals.
Component Sizing & Selection:
Skilled in selecting appropriate stud and gasket dimensions according to specific flange ratings and design pressures.
Torque Application Expertise:
Demonstrated precision in applying torque per engineering specifications to achieve consistent, leak-free connections.
Industrial Fabrication Experience:
Hands-on background assembling, fabricating, and installing complex mechanical and piping systems in industrial or construction environments.
Blueprint & P&ID Reading:
Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and P&IDs with confidence to ensure accuracy in builds and installations.
