As Accounting Manager, you will lead day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective cash flow management, and regulatory compliance. You’ll also supervise a dedicated accounting team, streamline financial processes, and contribute to strategic planning initiatives.

Responsibilities
Accounting Operations
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including payment runs and collections.
• Manage payroll entries, deposits, and intercompany fund transfers.
• Ensure timely and accurate bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Monitor and manage daily cash flow and banking activities.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
• Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance) for all entities.
• Coordinate government filings and remittances (DAS, GST, PST).
• Collaborate with external accountants for year-end audits and financial reports.
• Provide financial insights and ad hoc reporting to senior management.
Team Leadership & Coordination
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate accounting staff; manage hiring and performance reviews.
• Ensure timely task execution and accuracy by team members.
• Develop and maintain efficient accounting procedures and controls.
Strategic & Project Support
• Lead the financial planning and budgeting process for key divisions and projects.
• Manage mass invoicing and recurring billing cycles.
• Evaluate and improve accounting systems, tools, and workflows.
• Support profitability analysis, costing, investment evaluations and acquisition activities.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 5 to 10 years of experience in accounting
• Proficient in ERP systems and intermediate Excel skills
• Experience in cost accounting or job costing
• Bilingual (French and English), with international exposure considered an asset
