I’m currently partnering with a dynamic and growing organization based in Toronto, looking for a permanent Accounting Manager to join their close-knit finance team!

Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll work closely with the Director of Finance and oversee the daily financial operations of the organization. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading full-cycle accounting, including monthly and year-end reporting
- Managing payroll oversight for 25–30 employees
- Handling intricate billing tied to broadcast calendar schedules
- Cash flow reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Overseeing compliance (including HST/federal tax) and supporting audit prep
- Developing and improving accounting policies and processes
- Reviewing team outputs, providing mentorship, and stepping in as needed
Qualifications
- A strong foundation in accounting (CPA designation preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive experience, including leadership/supervisory exposure
- Solid understanding of ASPE (and ideally some familiarity with U.S. GAAP or payroll/tax)
- Experience using QuickBooks Online and intermediate Excel skills
- Strong analytical thinking, high attention to detail, and excellent communication skills
- A self-starter with EQ, who thrives in fast-paced environments and takes initiative
- A connection to purpose — someone who aligns with cause-driven work
