Reporting to the finance department, the accounting technician will play an essential role in carrying out daily accounting operations for several entities within the group. Responsibilities
• Contribute to the monthly closing process by assisting the accountant (preparing entries, basic analyses, documentation, etc.)
• Perform daily bank reconciliations
• Match, verify, and record supplier invoices in the accounting systems of the various companies
• Maintain and update the accounts payable ledger
• Prepare and document accrual entries at the end of the month and at the end of the year.
• Properly file and organize invoices, supporting documents, and payments.
• Collect, verify, and record expense reports.
• Provide support to the accountant during external audits or for any ad hoc requests for information.
• Participate in various related tasks to support the activities of the finance department.
Qualifications
• Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
• Rigorous, detail-oriented, and highly organized
• Independent, problem-solving, and proactive
• Comfortable in a growing environment and interested in process improvement
• Comfortable with a paperless work environment and technological tools
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and work under pressure
