Responsibilities
- Process Accounts Payable invoice for payment
- Reviewing, sorting, organizing and matching invoices for payment
- Obtaining and monitoring Invoices for approval
- Entering A/P invoices/credit notes and matching invoices to purchase orders
- Checking for accuracy, supporting documents and approval of all A/P entries
- Printing cheques, obtaining signatures, and releasing cheques for payment
- Setup CAD/USD wire and ACH/ETF payments
- Monthly reporting
- Responding to supplier and/or purchaser concerns in a timely and courteous manner
- Other administration and accounting tasks as required
Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge and training in Accounts Payable.
- Need a good understanding and must keep current on accounting practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with interruptions and without sacrificing accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience with computerized accounting systems and other programs, including word processing and spreadsheets
- Understanding and respect for confidential information
- Experience working in a fast paced office in an Accounting position
