Responsibilities
In this Accounts Payable Specialist role in North York, you will hold the following responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute payments through various methods, including cheques, electronic transfers, and ACH, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.
- Maintain up-to-date vendor records, resolve discrepancies, and address inquiries promptly to foster strong vendor relationships.
- Regularly reconcile accounts payable transactions with vendor statements and internal records to ensure accuracy.
- Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and proper documentation.
- Assist in month-end closing activities by preparing and posting journal entries related to accounts payable.
- Ensure all accounts payable activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements; maintain organized records for audit purposes.
Qualifications
To be eligible for this Accounts Payable Specialist role in North York, you will need the following qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of full cycle AP experience.
- Experience with major ERP systems is an asset (eg. Microsoft Dynamics)
- Experience from a similar industry is a strong asset.
- Excellent communication skills.
