Responsibilities
• Serve as the first point of contact for inbound calls and visitors, providing excellent customer service and directing inquiries as needed.
• Process daily donations received online, over the phone, via mail, or in person, and handle all related inquiries and clarifications.
• Assist with the resolution of donor issues and requests, working collaboratively with other team members.
• Prepare and send gift acknowledgements and thank you letters to market-level donors.
• Provide administrative support for donor stewardship processes and special events.
• Maintain and manage the customer relationship management (CRM) databases, such as DonorPerfect Online (DPO) and Raisin.
• Ensure data integrity and quality control through accurate data entry and regular clean-up.
• Upload online donations, reconcile transactions, and support the accounting team with monthly reconciliations and audit requests.
• Manage fundraising initiative tracking codes and assist with data analysis for fundraising campaigns.
• Help oversee office volunteers and administrative tasks.
Qualifications
• Two or more years of experience in a similar role or relevant educational background.
• Bilingual (French-speaking) skills are required, as there will be a significant donor-facing component to the role.
• Previous experience or a strong willingness to learn and use a Customer Relationship System, Donor Database, or other cloud-based database programs.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
• Demonstrated efficiency and accuracy in handling a large volume of detailed information and figures.
• Excellent verbal and written customer service skills.
• The ability to exercise good judgment and discretion with confidential information.
• Experience in a non-profit or registered charity environment is considered a significant asset.
• A clean criminal record check is required
