Responsibilities
- Handle customer inquiries and provide timely, accurate information regarding air import freight shipments
- Coordinate with internal departments (operations, customs, and rates) to ensure the smooth movement of air freight
- Book, track, and manage shipments through the CargoWise system
- Prepare and review shipping documentation, including invoices, bills of lading, and customs documents
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to shipments, including delays, damages, or missing cargo
- Provide proactive updates to clients regarding the status of their shipments
- Maintain and update customer records within the CargoWise system
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and service providers
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, including customs requirements
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in import by air within the transport industry
- Solid understanding of transport processes, shipping workflows and the practices of the industry
- Ability to communicate clearly with customers, carriers, and internally stakeholders
- Experience using TMS platforms and managing shipping documentation efficiently
- Able to handle exceptions and resolve operational issues on time pressure
- Willingness to take on leadership support roles and work flexibly in a dynamic environment
- Systematically ensures accuracy and compliance in all operational activities
