Responsibilities
In this AP & AR Supervisor role in Woodbridge, you will have the following benefits:
- Oversee daily operations for both AP and AR departments.
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable, including PO matching, invoice processing, three-way matching, and weekly payment runs via EFT and cheque.
- Monitor accounts receivable, perform credit checks on new accounts, manage collections, and follow up on overdue customer balances.
- Prepare monthly AR/AP aging reports for management review.
- Assist with month-end closing, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with Canadian tax requirements related to payables and receivables (GST, HST, PST).
- Work closely with plant management, purchasing, and shipping/receiving to resolve billing or inventory discrepancies.
- Directly supervise, train, and support a team of 5+ accounting professionals.
Qualifications
We are looking for the following for this AP & AR Supervisor role located in Woodbridge:
- A post-graduate diploma or degree in either business administration or accounting is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience within the accounting field is required.
- Previous experience working with large ERP like Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, or Oracle based software is required.
- Strong Excel proficiency is required.
- Strong communication is required for this role.
- Must be able to wear multiple hats and shift priorities throughout the day.
