Responsibilities
-Asset Location & Recovery: Act as the subject matter expert in skip tracing, tracking, and recovering financed moveable assets (automotive and powersports).
-Vendor Management: Coordinate a network of third-party vendors to execute the full repossession lifecycle; track vendor performance, metrics, and reporting to ensure high standards.
-Legal Compliance & Enforcement: Apply expert knowledge of Canadian geography, repossession laws, the Personal Property Security Act (PPSA), Privacy Laws, and provincial collection regulations.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between vendors, internal teams, and customers using advanced negotiation, de-escalation, and professional communication skills.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare complex case documentation, update host systems, and maintain meticulous investigative records.
Qualifications
-Licensing: Active Private Investigator’s license (or recognized Canadian licensing that permits professional skip tracing).
-Experience: 2–5 years in asset location, repossession, remarketing, and collections (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Industry Knowledge: Deep familiarity with automotive finance lifecycles, vehicle values, and automotive sales regulations.
-Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), inventory management, and collections software.
-Communication: Exceptional English oral and written communication skills (Bilingual English/French is a strong asset).
