Responsibilities
- Partner with the Senior Director, Marketplace Growth, to define, develop, and execute data-driven strategies that maximize GMV growth. You'll also provide comprehensive reporting to measure the effectiveness of these strategies.
- Use data to drive success in several key areas:
- Analyze the performance of sponsored ad programs and develop data-backed strategies with Account Managers to optimize effectiveness and demonstrate clear Return on Investment (ROI).
- Define success metrics and analyze the impact of Category events and experiences with Account Managers, providing insights that guide future strategy and growth.
- Lead the analysis of price gap data and collaborate with Account Managers to identify opportunities and strategies for improving price competitiveness.
- Develop and implement analytical frameworks to assess and improve content scoring, working with Account Managers to ensure product listings are optimized for discoverability and conversion.
- Analyze site metric reporting across the entire marketplace, identifying key levers and strategic actions to significantly improve overall conversion rates.
- Work closely with the Marketplace Campaign Manager to design, build, and automate sophisticated campaign and deals effectiveness reports, directly improving return on marketing investment.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of critical weekly KPI reports, covering key business metrics like traffic, views, item conversion, and Average Order Value (AOV). You'll be responsible for ensuring the highest data quality standards.
- Lead the creation of automated and ad hoc business intelligence reports, providing the business with rapid, data-driven insights to accelerate GMV growth.
- Proactively identify and monitor key performance indicators, highlighting potential risks, and develop strategic solutions to mitigate challenges and capitalize on opportunities.
- Direct the collection, analysis, and synthesis of complex information from various sources, transforming it into clear, compelling, and actionable narratives. You'll be responsible for presenting these insights to senior leadership and cross-functional teams to inform executive-level decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement of existing reporting tools like Tableau, Qlik, and Looker, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the business.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of progressive experience in e-commerce analytics and strategy, with at least 1 year in a leadership or managerial capacity.
- Demonstrated expertise in advanced data analytics and statistical modeling.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience in data visualization tools is essential.
- Proven ability to design, implement, and manage complex dashboards and reporting suites.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights clearly to diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
