We are hiring a hands-on Assistant Body Shop Manager in Milton. This is a 90% boots-on-the-ground role leading a crew of 8–10 techs with a structured 2-year runway to take over the entire operation due to an upcoming retirement. No weekend grind—just a clean, modern facility where you can lead by example.

Responsibilities
-90% on the Shop Floor: Lead, mentor, and work directly alongside a crew of 8–10 techs and apprentices. No hiding behind a desk.
-Production & Flow: Assign daily tasks, manage bay capacity, and keep massive truck/bus collision repairs moving on schedule.
-Hands-On Quality Control: Jump right into the bays to inspect complex structural repairs and troubleshoot alongside the team.
-Basic Administration: Run weekly manager meetings and handle basic floor logistics (payroll reporting, sick time, and vacation tracking).
-Client & Team Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for commercial clients and coordinate with internal parts/finance teams
Qualifications
-Minimum of 8 years of total experience within the collision repair industry, with at least 5 years specifically in a supervisory, foreman, or lead hand role.
-Direct experience in heavy truck, trailer, or bus collision repair is highly preferred.
-Hands on Auto Body Repairer experience
-Proven ability to manage, respect, and earn the respect of an old-school, traditional shop crew. Strong communication skills are required to manage down effectively.
-Comfortable navigating workflow tracking systems and inputting standard administrative data (hours, scheduling, timelines)
