Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Controller, you will play a key role in managing the accounting cycle and producing reliable financial information to support decision-making.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in collaboration with accounting and operational teams.
- Participate in the preparation of the closing package, including the income statement, balance sheet, analytical accounts, and simplified cash flow statement.
- Analyze financial variances and conduct investigations to explain discrepancies, in collaboration with operational teams.
- Ensure budget consistency by comparing operational assumptions with actual financial data.
- Contribute to the implementation and adherence to internal control procedures.
- Maintain and optimize Excel financial models and tools (pivot tables, reporting automation).
- Provide analytical support for strategic decision-making and performance improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- CPA designation in progress or recently obtained (an asset)
- 3 to 6 years of accounting experience, ideally in a corporate or firm setting
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; knowledge of an ERP system (SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, etc.) is an asset
- Team spirit, autonomy, rigor, and willingness to learn
