Responsibilities
- Participate in the preparation and analysis of consolidated financial statements, providing recommendations to optimize performance.
- Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of robust internal controls, identifying financial and operational risks.
- Analyze budget variances and propose practical solutions to improve profitability and efficiency.
- Manage cross-functional financial projects, including reporting, automation, and process improvement.
- Ensure coordination with operational teams to provide relevant and strategic financial analyses.
- Actively participate in monthly and annual closings, ensuring accuracy and reliability of the figures.
- Develop advanced dashboards and financial indicators to support management decision-making.
- Assist the Controller with high-level tasks and gradually take on increased responsibilities within the department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- CPA designation in progress or recently obtained (an asset)
- 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, ideally in a corporate or firm setting
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; knowledge of an ERP system (SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, etc.) is an asset
- Team spirit, autonomy, rigor, and willingness to learn
