Responsibilities
As an Assistant Controller, you will play a key role in the daily management of accounting operations and the supervision of the existing team. You will act as a true right-hand to the Controller, actively contributing to the reliability of financial data, adherence to deadlines, and the implementation of good accounting practices.
Your main responsibilities:
- Supervise the daily activities of the accounting team (payables, receivables, journal entries, reconciliations)
- Ensure the rigor and compliance of accounting processes
- Participate in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
- Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization
- Act as a mentor to the team and promote a climate of collaboration and performance
- Collaborate closely with the controller on various special projects
Qualifications
- CPA title (or in the process of obtaining, an important asset)
- Relevant experience in accounting or auditing (3 to 5 years)
- Skills in supervision and priority management
- Initiative, rigor, and great attention to detail
- Strong interest in sustainable practices and innovation in business
