Responsibilities
• Lead the full-cycle month-end and year-end close processes for all entities, ensuring the precision of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysis.
• Supervise Accounts Payable operations to guarantee accurate invoice processing, maintain strategic vendor relationships, and ensure all payment obligations are met on schedule.
• Oversee Accounts Receivable functions, focusing on accelerating revenue collection, managing customer credit limits, and ensuring the seamless application of payments.
• Validate and consolidate financial statements, performing rigorous reviews of adjustments to ensure the highest level of reporting accuracy.
• Manage intercompany accounting, including the regular reconciliation of transactions and balances across all corporate divisions.
• Ensure indirect tax compliance by preparing and filing monthly and quarterly GST, HST, and QST returns for all companies.
• Monitor and control corporate cash flow to optimize liquidity and support operational needs.
• Maintain robust inventory management controls to ensure asset accuracy and minimize financial discrepancies.
• Collaborate on budgeting and forecasting initiatives to support long-term financial planning.
• Act as a strategic liaison between the finance department and senior leadership, as well as the sales, logistics, and documentation teams.
• Deliver data-driven insights through ad-hoc reporting and special projects to support executive decision-making.
• Audit operational expenses, such as telecommunications and service contracts, to identify and resolve billing discrepancies.
Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Experience: 3–5 years in full-cycle accounting.
• Bilingual (English/French).
• Proficiency with ERP systems
* Communicate with English-speaking partners located outside of Quebec on a daily basis.
