As the Assistant Controller, you will report directly to the Financial Director and actively contribute to our team's success. You will be involved in preparing monthly financial statements, analyzing inventory and production costs, and continuously improving our accounting processes.
Advantages
Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year, based on experience.
Status: Permanent, full-time position (40 hours/week) on-site in Vaudreuil-Dorion.
Benefits: 3 weeks of vacation
Responsibilities
• Participate in the full-cycle accounting and month-end close for various entities.
• Support the international sales team by ensuring accurate transaction recording and balanced inventories each month.
• Reconcile inventories and correct any discrepancies.
• Improve processes related to production, inventory, and intercompany transactions.
• Help maintain strong internal controls.
• Perform account reconciliations (general ledger, intercompany, balance sheet).
• Manage fixed assets and depreciation.
• Keep prepaid expenses and accounts payable up to date.
• Prepare month-end journal entries.
• Verify expenses, credit card statements, and supporting documents before recording them.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and analyses.
• Assist with year-end audits and government reviews.
• Support the financial director with various financial tasks.
• Support the accounting team as needed.
• Help with the calculation of production costs.
• Collaborate on various special projects and other related tasks.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
3 to 5 years of experience in full-cycle accounting and cost analysis, ideally within the manufacturing sector.
Proficiency with accounting software and strong analytical skills.
Bilingualism: French and English (a major asset in our international environment).
