Responsibilities
Manage and analyze P&Ls across multiple client contracts/sites, including revenue, expenses, margins, and overall financial performance.
Perform FP&A activities, including assisting with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
Manage complex client billing and reconciliations, including contracts with different billing cycles, and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
Prepare financial workbooks and supporting analysis to validate and justify client billings.
Manage month-end close activities, including cost and revenue accruals, P&L review, reconciliations, and margin analysis.
Analyze contract profitability, operational expenses, and key cost drivers and identify/explain financial variances.
Partner closely with Site Managers, Directors, and operational stakeholders to review financial performance and provide financial insights.
Clearly communicate and explain financial results, billing, margins, and variances to finance and operational stakeholders.
Oversee and review the work of 2 Financial Analysts responsible for contracts and billing, providing guidance and support as required.
Ensure financial reporting, billing, and client/contract deliverables are completed accurately and within required deadlines.
Qualifications
Professional Accounting Designation is preferred.
Approximately 5 years of relevant finance experience, with strong experience in FP&A, P&L analysis, and operational finance.
Approximately 2–3 years of supervisory or team-lead experience, including reviewing work, providing direction, and coaching junior team members.
Strong experience with complex billing, financial reconciliations, month-end close, accruals, and margin/profitability analysis.
Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, data manipulation and dashboards.
Experience with SAP is preferred, particularly SAP S/4HANA; candidates with strong Oracle experience will also be considered.
Strong communication and business partnering skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, operational environment and partnering with multiple sites and stakeholders.
Ability to work additional hours during month-end close and travel to GTA sites as required.
