Control Execution: Develop and execute controls ensuring operational processes meet all regulatory requirements.
Problem Solving: Analyze complex problems and make informed decisions on behalf of management to maintain adequate oversight.
Stakeholder Management: Maintain strong relationships with Business Controls, Risk, Operations, and Second Line of Defense partners.
Process Improvement: Review and recommend enhancements for products or services, focusing on operating effectiveness and control impact.
Strategic Support: Collaborate with technology and application development groups to ensure solutions align with enterprise guidelines.
Testing & Monitoring: Manage day-to-day product oversight, identifying and testing key processes to ensure controls are operating effectively and client disclosures are compliant.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in Audit and Control Testing.
Technical Skills: Strong ability to interpret and document complex process flows; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Domain Knowledge: Proven experience in Governance and Risk Management.
Soft Skills: Exceptional written communication skills, specifically for documenting procedures and control narratives.
Education/Context (Nice to Have): Prior experience with the broader banking industry is considered a strong asset.
Summary
Target Start Date: Week of February 2nd (ASAP).
Duration: 6-month contract (Possibility of extension/conversion).
Location: Hybrid (Office: Downtown, Toronto)
In-office requirement: Every Tuesday and every second Friday of the month.
Schedule: 37.5 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (OT possible with manager approval).
