Responsibilities
Perform high-quality B-Pressure welds on carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy piping/vessel systems.
Fabricate and weld pressure vessels, tanks, and modular skid packages (ASME Section VIII and B31.3/B31.1).
Read and interpret complex blueprints, spool drawings, and GA (General Assembly) drawings.
Execute welds to meet strict ABSA, ASME, and CWB codes.
Collaborate with QC teams for weld mapping, documentation, and traceability.
Operate overhead cranes and standard shop fabrication equipment safely.
Qualifications
Mandatory: Current Alberta B-Pressure Certification.
Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience in pressure vessel and pipe fabrication within a shop setting.
Technical Skill: Proficiency in SMAW and GMAW/MCAW; experience with GTAW or RMD Fluxcore is a significant asset.
Testing: Ability to pass a pre-employment weld test (standard 6-inch schedule 80 or similar).
Reliability: Must have reliable transportation to the West Edmonton/Nisku area and own standard welding PPE.
Safety: A "Safety First" mindset and the ability to work at heights or within large vessel components if required.
