Responsibilities
-Accurately process and verify vendor invoices, ensuring correct coding and adherence to company policies and procedures
-Prepare and issue payments through electronic funds transfer (EFT), cheques, and other authorized payment methods as needed
-Reconcile vendor statements regularly and investigate or resolve any discrepancies in a timely and professional manner
-Maintain comprehensive and well-organized accounts payable records, including invoice files and payment documentation
-Communicate effectively with vendors to respond to inquiries, clarify payment details, and resolve outstanding issues
-Assist with month-end close processes, including preparing accruals, generating reports, and supporting financial accuracy
-Ensure timely and compliant payroll processing for hourly and salaried staff in accordance with labor laws and internal deadlines
Qualifications
-3-5 years of experience in accounting
-Experience in administrative position
-Proficient in Microsoft Excel
-Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
-Effective communication skills both written and verbal
