Responsibilities
As a senior SMT Line Technician in the specialized trades, your main responsibilities will include the setup, operation, and adjustment of SMT equipment. Your duties will consist of:
Machine Programming: Creating, modifying, configuring, and optimizing pick and place, and AOI programs for SMT equipment (printer, pick and place machine, reflow oven) for new products.
Preventive Maintenance: Executing preventive maintenance plans to avoid unexpected breakdowns and prolong the lifespan of the equipment. This may include cleaning, lubricating, and calibrating the machines.
Process Analysis and Improvement: Collaborating with engineers to analyze production data and propose improvements to optimize manufacturing processes.
Component Management: Ensuring the precise loading of component feeders and managing the component library within the machine system.
Troubleshooting: Quickly diagnosing and solving complex technical problems that arise during production on Panasonic placement machines.
Documentation and Reporting: Keeping production and quality records for manufacturing cycles and CAD/Gerber machine performance up to date.
Qualifications
For this SMT Line Technician position in Ville Saint-Laurent, we are looking for a qualified professional with the following skills:
You must have a vocational diploma (DEP) in electronics or a DEC, or any other relevant certification.
You have accumulated 4-5 years of experience as a production line operator.
Experience as an operator, electronics technician, and SMT line technician is a significant asset.
Knowledge of Panasonic placement machines or the manufacturing sector in general is an asset.
You are able to work with CAD/Gerber files.
Your profile is distinguished by your organization, your ability to learn, and your aptitude for collaborative work.
Be bilingual; fluency in both French and English is important for this position.
