Position: Risk Rating Specialist (Bilingual French/English)
Location: Toronto, ON
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday

Responsibilities
Use Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), notes to financial statements, and internal guidelines to identify and input values from private company financial statements into our risk rating model.
Generate accurate Borrower Risk Rating (BRR) calculations based on your financial statement inputs.
Apply requested adjustments to financial statements and create revised statements and BRR ratings.
Analyze and eliminate intercompany transactions for combined financial statements.
Support the Manager, Risk Rating with other assigned duties.
Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and supportive team environment.
Qualifications
Education: Minimum post-secondary education in Commerce or Business Administration (specialization in accounting or finance preferred).
Financial Acumen: Ability to read and thoroughly understand financial statements (company prepared, notice to reader, review engagement, and audited).
Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Experience: Previous experience in an accounting or finance-related role.
Bilingualism: Professional fluency in French (intermediate to advanced reading/understanding; novice to intermediate writing/speaking) and English.
Core Competencies:
Keen, hawk-eye attention to detail.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as a collaborative team member.
Proven ability to work in a high-pressure environment while maintaining high work quality.
