Responsibilities
Use GAAP, notes to financial statements, and guidelines to identify and input values from financial statements of privately held companies into the Risk Rating model.
Generate Borrower Risk Rating (BRR) calculations based on financial statement inputs.
Apply requested adjustments to financial statements and create revised statements and BRR ratings.
Understand and eliminate intercompany transactions for combined financial statements.
Support the Manager, Risk Rating with other assigned duties.
Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
Qualifications
Minimum post-secondary education in Commerce or Business Administration; specialization in accounting or finance preferred.
Ability to read and understand financial statements (company prepared, notice to reader, review engagement, and audited).
Knowledge of GAAP.
Experience in an accounting or finance-related role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Bilingual in French (intermediate to advanced reading/understanding, novice to intermediate writing/speaking) and English.
Keen attention to detail.
Problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment while maintaining high work quality.
