Salary Range: $60,000 – $70,000 per year (depending on experience)

Responsibilities
• Manage daily full-cycle accounting activities and accounts payable/receivable (AP/AR) to ensure all financial records align with GAAP standards.
• Perform accurate monthly reconciliations of bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
• Process regular payroll, calculate and remit source deductions accurately, and prepare necessary year-end documents for the external accountant.
• Manage reporting and compliance with WorkSafeBC, ensuring correct classifications and timely submissions.
• Act as a professional liaison, handling daily email and phone communication with sub-contractors, homeowners, vendors, and external partners.
• Deliver administrative assistance to leadership and managers on ad-hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 3–5 years of proven full-cycle bookkeeping experience. Experience navigating BC employment standards and WorkSafeBC regulations is highly desirable.
• Certificate, diploma, or degree in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping, or equivalent field experience.
• Advanced hands-on proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop preferred) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (formulas, data management). Strong overall capability with MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• A rock-solid, foundational understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proven ability to structure, prioritize, and self-manage a heavy workload independently with minimal supervision. Thrives and remains sharp, calm, and focused during peak periods in a dynamic environment.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to maintain professional relationships with diverse parties, from homeowners to sub-contractors.
