We are currently recruiting for a 12 month contract Bookkeeping position in Hamilton. In this position, you would be reporting to the Operations Manager and working with administrative team while collaborating with other departments. A normal day would include AP, AR, assisting with vendor statements, tracking and reporting.. This is a full-cycle, high volume accounting position that also offers opportunity for advancement and variety with different accounting tasks.
The ideal candidate would have experience in bookkeeping and utilizing ERP systems. Advantages

- $28 - $30 hourly
- Monday – Friday
- Flexible part time hours, between 22 to 3 hours per week depending on workload
- Ability to work independently and with a friendly, welcoming team

Responsibilities
- Full cycle Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Processing all invoices with accuracy and ensuring they have the necessary approvals, and proper coding
- Processing credit applications, review weekly AR outstanding report, contacting client and applying payments to customers accounts
- Maintaining great customer relationships by responding quickly and accurately to both internal (employee) and external (vendor) questions and requests for information
- Matching packing slips, invoices and vouchers. Distributing them to other department and entering them into the system
- Review monthly statement to ensure all information is entered and accurate
- Assisting with larger vender parts statements (balancing statements and following up on anything missing)
- Support with bi-weekly payroll input, calculating hours/pay per period and entering data on summary statement
- Other administrative tasks as requested
Qualifications
- Experience with AP/AR and Bookkeeping
- Experience working with an ERP or accounting programs
- Education within Accounting, Economics, or relevant field is an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Must be comfortable working independently and a team
- Must be reliable, dedicated, and punctual
