BSA - Wealth and Investments Management

In this intermediate technical role, you will act as the vital bridge translating high-level business logic into granular, actionable data requirements for downstream system analysts, designers, and engineering squads. The focus of this mandate centers heavily on API development and complex data integration projects within the Wealth and Investment Management domain. You will define future-state technology options, map data flows, and build consensus across cross-functional architecture and product teams.

Work Location: Hybrid (2 to 4 days per week on-site at the downtown Toronto, ON corporate office)

Responsibilities
Requirement Translation: Partner closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Enterprise Architects to translate macro-level business solutions into detailed functional specifications and non-functional requirements.

API Documentation & Mapping: Map end-to-end user journeys directly to API actions, defining detailed error-handling scenarios. Author and maintain comprehensive API design documentation inside Swagger and Postman, including request/response payloads, endpoints, and methods.

Data Integration & Mapping: Drive the creation of critical integration artifacts, including complex Source-to-Target Mappings (STMs), upstream/downstream data flows, and system component interfaces.

Agile Backlog Grooming: Author comprehensive epics, user stories, and precise acceptance criteria, ensuring that underlying technical logic is seamlessly disseminated downstream to developers.

Data Quality Analysis: Perform rigorous data quality profiling, proactively investigating, diagnosing, and identifying the root causes of data quality anomalies or integration failures.

Quality Assurance Support: Review technical designs and prototypes to guarantee alignment with business requirements. Support QA squads by translating complex use cases into explicit test conditions for system integration (SIT), performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Project Management Synergy: Participate in technical scoping and estimation efforts, identifying platform risks, proposing structural mitigations, and escalating issues to the Project Manager when necessary.



Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience operating as a Business Systems Analyst or System Analyst within large-scale enterprise environments.

Domain Expertise: Strong, verified professional experience working within the Wealth Management or Investment Management sectors.

Technical Integration Core: Deep hands-on experience driving Data Integration, Data Mapping, and Data Analysis initiatives. Excellent understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON payloads, and enterprise web services.

Methodological Fluency: Solid experience operating within structured Agile / Scrum delivery frameworks.

System Analysis Acuity: Advanced knowledge of technical systems analysis processes, lifecycle methodologies (SDLC), data schemas, and complex integration rules.

Soft Skills: Outstanding communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills; a proven track record of resolving conflicts and building compromise across matrixed technical teams.

Nice-to-Have Assets: Previous system analysis experience supporting Credit Banking or Commercial/Business Banking applications.
