As a Senior Lead, you will bridge the gap between high-level governance strategy and operational execution. You will oversee a small team of analysts, ensuring that project timelines are met and data risks are proactively managed. This role is ideal for a data-centric Business Analyst with a strong background in governance and change management who is comfortable navigating complex regulatory landscapes within a leading financial institution.

Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Project Management
Team Oversight: Provide guidance, leadership, and management to a small group of analysts, ensuring high-quality deliverables and team cohesion.
Reporting & Insights: Deliver regular progress reports and data-driven insights regarding the team’s efforts to senior leadership.
Risk Management: Lead the identification, escalation, and documentation of project and data risks across the team’s workstreams.
Capacity Planning: Support management in assessing team capacity and prioritizing work in progress to meet regulatory deadlines.
Data Governance & Remediation
DRD Support: Lead Data Retention and Disposition (DRD) remediation activities, including the assessment and documentation of requirements.
Standards Adherence: Ensure all data assets are maintained in strict compliance with enterprise data standards, policies, and guidelines.
Data Analysis: Perform deep-dive data analysis to support retention analysis and the development of new data management procedures.
Inventory & Cataloguing: Support the identification and cataloguing of existing data assets and oversee manual execution of disposition and evidencing procedures.
Stakeholder Engagement
Partnership: Build effective working relationships with peers and cross-functional partners to resolve data gaps.
Stakeholder Management: Manage numerous complex stakeholder relationships, providing subject matter expertise and support where required.
Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements
Experience: 7+ years of professional experience in a Data Governance, Business Analysis, or Regulatory Project environment.
Governance Expertise: Strong foundational knowledge of data governance principles and frameworks.
Project Execution: Proven experience managing project lifecycles from a timelines and risk identification standpoint.
Analytical Skills: Advanced data analytics skills using Excel for reporting and manual data remediation steps.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage multiple senior stakeholders.
Education: Undergraduate degree is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Leadership: Previous experience leading a team or managing specific project workstreams.
Industry Background: Prior experience within a major Financial Institution (FI) or Banking environment.
Domain Knowledge: Understanding of data regulatory rules, controls, and compliance standards.
Technical Proficiency: Experience with JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, and designing data storage hierarchies/folder structures.
