Responsibilities
• Support the Corporate & Investment Banking businesses in adhering to regulatory requirements and managing risk.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of operational risk frameworks and promote a robust risk culture.
• Oversee and challenge the implementation of Corporate Operational Risk Management (C-ORM) programs.
• Provide subject matter expertise on the effectiveness of key controls.
• Work with business stakeholders to address issues and ensure remediation milestones are met in a timely manner.
• Proactively identify and escalate significant risk events to ensure business compliance.
• Manage ad-hoc governance and risk management projects with varying levels of complexity.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal partners, including Compliance, Legal, and Audit.
• Support executive reporting by providing meaningful data insights on program status.
Qualifications
Must-Haves
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in risk, audit, and/or compliance, with a preference for experience within the financial services industry.
• Strong knowledge of capital markets businesses.
• Proven analytical and research skills with the ability to break down complex subjects and assess risk.
• Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills.
• A university or post-graduate degree.
Nice-to-Haves
• A professional designation in accounting or auditing.
• Previous experience in auditing.
