...
As a Business Continuity Management Advisor, you will join an established, collaborative team and quickly take full ownership of an assigned portfolio. Advantages
High Extension Potential: This assignment comes with a high likelihood of contract extension, offering exceptional long-term project stability.
Structured Onboarding: Enjoy a dedicated Month 1 training program focusing on internal tools, tracking processes, and frameworks to set you up for seamless success.
Autonomous Portfolio Ownership: Step into full ownership of your portfolio within 90 days, allowing you to drive tangible resilience metrics and demonstrate leadership.
Pure Business Focus: Focus strictly on business continuity, operational resilience, and strategy without getting bogged down by purely technical/IT disaster recovery tasks.
Hybrid Flexibility: Work on-site 4 days per week in a dynamic, professional team environment.
Responsibilities
Framework Execution: Execute an established Business Continuity Management (BCM) framework effectively without the need to interpret regulations from scratch.
BIA & BCP Management: Direct and manage Business Impact Analyses (BIA), business continuity plans (BCP), and comprehensive test strategies across your portfolio.
Portfolio Ownership: Refresh existing plans and elevate them to current institutional standards within your first 90 days.
Compliance & Standards: Ensure strict adherence to OSFI E21 standards and Operational Resilience principles, consistently meeting hard annual plan refresh deadlines (EAs).
Gap Analysis: Independently conduct gap analyses as needed to identify and remediate potential continuity risks.
Independent Execution: Operate with minimal supervision following your initial onboarding month, delivering high-quality oversight across assigned business units.
Qualifications
Must Haves:
Financial Industry Experience: 4 to 6+ years of dedicated, hands-on Business Continuity experience within the financial services domain.
Specialized Focus: Strong expertise as a pure Business Continuity specialist (this is a business-focused role, not an IT/Disaster Recovery position).
Regulatory Familiarity: Demonstrated success operating under strict regulatory timelines and compliance frameworks.
Nice to Haves:
Professional Certification: Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) designation is strongly preferred.
Banking Expertise: Direct experience within a banking environment is highly preferred; Capital Markets exposure is a distinct asset.
