Our client, an innovative leader in the specialized tracked vehicle sector, is looking for a Manufacturing Purchaser to join its rapidly expanding team in Mont-Royal. In a context of strong growth and technological transformation, you will play a pivotal role in structuring the parts and services department. This position offers a unique opportunity for rapid advancement into management responsibilities for a proactive and resilient candidate.

Responsibilities
•Sourcing & Procurement: Source and purchase complex components (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and engines).
•Subcontracting Management: Coordinate activities with local subcontractors for machining and welding.
•Technical Interpretation: Interpret engineering drawings to ensure the accuracy of parts and component orders.
•Data Management: Lead the cleanup of current inventory data (Microsoft Access) in preparation for the transition to a new ERP.
•ERP Implementation: Actively participate in the deployment of the ERP inventory module scheduled within the next 6 months.
•Supplier Relations: Manage international supplier relationships, including warranty tracking and performance monitoring.
•R&D Collaboration: Work closely with R&D departments to support procurement for custom projects and new product models.
Qualifications
•Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience as a Manufacturing Purchaser or in a similar industrial role.
•Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical principles and inventory management.
•Languages: Fluent English is mandatory (for communication with English-speaking suppliers); proficiency in Mandarin is a major asset for managing suppliers in Asia.
•Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM).
•Soft Skills: "Intrapreneurial" mindset: ability to adapt to change and proactively propose process improvements.
•Negotiation: Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to solve complex problems.
