Role: Buyer
Location: Rivière-des-Prairies, Montréal
Salary: $90-120k
Under the supervision of the Supply Chain Service Manager, the Buyer is responsible for all purchases, both production and non-production, that cannot be globalized (such as cleaning, snow removal, purchase requests, business case management, etc.). The Buyer ensures the entire purchasing process. Project management related to urgent, non-contracted parts must be implemented, taking into account the deadlines and costs associated with these projects.

Responsibilities
Supervise purchase order placement in alignment with production needs and consumption forecasts
Approve purchase orders within authorized spending limits
Monitor and optimize inventory levels, avoiding stockouts or overstocking, while adhering to finished goods policies
Identify supply risks and implement action plans to prevent delays or material shortages
Develop and track supplier and departmental performance management tools
Maintain strong relationships with partners and manage supplier escalations when necessary
Collaborate with production, logistics, and quality departments to ensure an efficient supply chain
Work closely with the planning department to anticipate raw material needs
Analyze variances between forecasts and actual consumption to adjust orders as needed
Manage disputes related to delivery non-conformities and coordinate corrective actions
Lead and support a team of supply chain coordinators
Train and coach team members to enhance their skills
Set goals and evaluate team performance
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in administration combined with a minimum of 3 to 6 years of experience in a similar role OR College diploma combined with a minimum of 6 to 12 years of experience in a similar role
Advanced proficiency in Excel
Proficient in inventory and supply chain management techniques
Proficient in ERP systems (Epicor is an asset)
Knowledge of aerospace standards and quality requirements
Strong negotiation skills and experience in supplier relationship management
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
Leadership and team management skills
