Responsibilities
Provide deep technical subject matter expertise and analysis on operational processes for Trade and Transaction Reporting.
Identify, investigate, document, and remediate exceptions and systemic operational issues arising from high-volume trades.
Independently execute on complex and non-standard processes, ensuring timely completion of business procedures according to SLAs.
Maintain a culture of risk management and control, actively assessing internal and industry regulations to understand their potential impact.
Act as a trainer and guide for junior staff, providing best practices on processes and operational functions.
Support change initiatives, including assisting with UAT testing and ensuring clear documentation of new processes.
Develop productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, representing the Regulatory Operations function.
Qualifications
Must-Haves
Experience: 7-8 years of dedicated experience in Global Markets, Risk/Compliance Operations, and/or regulatory reporting.
Regulatory Command: Expert-level knowledge of US regulations and specific subject matter expertise in transaction reporting (FINRA, CFTC, SEC).
Specific Reporting: Strong, demonstrated understanding of CAT, EBS, 606, and LOPR reporting.
Market Knowledge: Expert knowledge of the capital markets operational environment, business processes, and the transaction lifecycle.
Education: University Degree at a minimum.
Soft Skills: Proven strong relationship management skills, exceptional detail-orientation, and the ability to work independently with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Nice-to-Haves (The "Bonus" Skills)
Experience with Canadian reporting requirements (e.g., CIRO).
Familiarity with data analytics tools such as Python, Alteryx, or SQL.
Experience with applications like JIRA, Confluence, or Broadridge.
Master’s degree.
