The Enterprise Payments organization is focused on driving thought leadership, strategy, and oversight for payments across the enterprise. The mandate of the Canadian Payments Platform & Capabilities Team, which this role supports, includes developing and maintaining near-term strategy and execution roadmaps, as well as owning the Payments Platform and associated capabilities.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in the management and delivery of business analysis activities on complex, transformational, cross-functional project(s) for Enterprise Payments, specifically the Real-Time Rails (RTR) initiative.

Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this Senior Business Analyst role include, but are not limited to:
•Lead Business Requirements: Lead the end-to-end business requirements throughout the project lifecycle, maintaining a customer-centric focus and collaborating with stakeholders from lines of business, technology, operations, and governance & control.
•Risk Management: Proactively identify and manage requirement risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and constraints.
•Change Management: Contribute to Change Management deliverables (e.g., stakeholder analysis, gap analysis) to ensure readiness across all stakeholder groups.
•Requirements Alignment: Apply a variety of business analysis tools and techniques to solicit requirements and ensure they align with business and Enterprise Payments' needs and strategies.
•Technology Collaboration: Collaborate with technology partners, providing recommendations toward system requirements and design to ensure alignment with business requirements.
•Quality Assurance (QA): Contribute to QA activities by supporting the development of test strategies, plans, and scenarios, and actively participating in the assessment and resolution of testing defects.
•Governance: Adhere to Enterprise Project Management governance and controls to ensure requirement deliverables meet best practices and standards.
•Mentorship: Contribute to team development by mentoring colleagues and sharing knowledge and experiences.
•Stakeholder Interaction: Approximately 50% of the role involves interaction with stakeholders.
Qualifications
Must-Have Skills
•Experience: 8–10 years of overall experience.
•Financial Institution Experience: Previous Lead Business Analyst experience within a financial institution.
•Payments Expertise: Experience with payments, specifically Interac e-transfers or real-time payments within the banking sector.
•Stakeholder Management: Proven experience with stakeholder management.
•Target State: Experience defining target state business processes.
•Soft Skills: Strong communication (written and verbal), team player/leadership skills, negotiation skills, and facilitation skills.
•Education: Post secondary degree/certifications required.
Nice-to-Have Skills
•Agile experience.
•Business Analyst certification.
