Responsibilities
- Work with complex systems to tender work assignments and update transportation activities across Canada
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements using continuous improvement methodologies.
- Provide input on business processes and technical issues.
- Evaluate cost impacts of carrier contracts and support negotiation materials creation.
- Maintain relationships with third-party carriers
- Regularly provide feedback on transportation plans, suggesting improvements.
- Maintain knowledge of Canadian transportation acts and regulations.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Business or Logistics
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (Macros, Pivot Tables) and PowerBI
- 3-5 years of business experience within Supply Chain; transportation experience is an asset.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with project management and continuous improvement methodologies is an asset.
