Responsibilities
• Develop overall change strategy and approach, working in collaboration with other functions as needed.
• Use company methodology to develop change management plans and deliverables.
• Engage with a diverse range of stakeholders to assess potential or actual complex change impacts.
• Build change capability within project team and coach senior leaders on effective change sponsorship.
• Work with the Project Manager/Initiative Lead to integrate change management into the project plan.
• Lead the development of communication material including key messages, sponsor communications and presentations.
• Identify people risks, proactively managing them throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop metrics, monitor and measures outcomes related to business readiness and rate of adoption, taking corrective action where required.
• Monitor for and assess risk related to concurrent organizational change.
Qualifications
Skills, Experience, and Requirements
• Post-secondary degree in communications, business management, psychology, human resources or education.
• 10 years’ experience in change management in complex organizations for transformational initiatives where significant cultural change is required.
• Change management certification (Prosci preferred).
• Extensive experience conducting change assessments (case for change, stakeholder and impact assessments), developing change strategies and change management plans including sponsorship, engagement, communication, training, resistance management and sustainment.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Able to synthesize complex information and develop clear and concise communication for different audiences.
• Experience working with and advising senior leadership; can influence without authority.
• Collaborative with adept relationship management and credibility building skills.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong customer focus, taking initiative in proposing or delivering on a solution.
• Able to work through ambiguity and independently manage multiple priorities.
Assets:
• Leadership coaching certificate.
• Experience working in the energy industry.
• Knowledge of project management fundamentals.
