Chef accountant-Controller

Responsibilities
Plan, organize, direct, and oversee all accounting department activities and supervise accounting staff.
Manage complex bookkeeping, bi-weekly payroll processing (EmployeurD), and government remittances (DAS, taxes, CNESST).
Perform period-end adjusting entries, bank reconciliations, and complete full-cycle accounting for 13 financial periods.
Produce and analyze financial statements, key performance indicators (KPIs), and support budget planning.
Oversee cash-flow management, inter-company debt, banking relationships, supplier terms, and accounts receivable.
Coordinate year-end audit processes in collaboration with external accountants.
Active participation in executive committee meetings to present financial insights and support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications
Education: University degree in Accounting.
Certification: CPA designation (an asset).
Experience: Minimum of 3 to 4 years of relevant accounting experience.
Languages: Excellent proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken. English is required as you will be dealing with client & supplier who are outside Quebec.
Software Knowledge: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Sage 50, SMS Pro, and EmployeurD.
